This is what I am

So you walk down the road and see this highly muscular dog wagging his tail and coming towards you. What could it be. It's an apbt otherwise known as a pitbull. Responsible owners have trained their dogs to sit and wait. You look into those big brown eyes or blue and all the dog wants to do is lick you. Yes, for most pitbulls that are bred properly in the right enviroment. They are the biggest babies in the world the only thing you really have to worry about is the slobber.

Just look at this pick of our Odie. Odie was bred for temperament, looks and for weight pulling. Pitbulls are the strongest dogs for their size. Odie's dad can pull 2900lbs. That's a ton and 1/2. Well just because they were bred for such strength doesn't mean they are going to use it. Odie just loves to be loved. Every night I come home from work, I let him out of his crate and am greeted by my other shaggy beast of a dog. I get licked to death. We work with Odie several times a day doing obedience as by the time he's a yr old, I want him to be able to pass the CGC. If you really want to learn about this breed look at a shelter or a reliable breeder. These dogs are awesome! Why do you see such bad press about these dogs, ask the owner of any dog that's bitten before and see what the answer is. They probably didn't socialize the animal. Apbt's need socialization and a ton of it. From 4 wks of age. They need to know ppl are there to provide for them and care for them. Before judging an entire breed of dog, think about the irresponsible people who want these dogs.

Odie

Hi I'm Odie Schnitzel. An American Pitbull Terrier. Some people have the preconceived notion that we are all vicious beasts who will eat your children. When bred properly, socialized and put into the right homes we are great dogs. I'm just 4 mos old but the breeding shows. We come in every color known to man. I'm a blue fawn. So if you want to know more about what a pitbull really is. I'm here to tell you. I was born June 23,2008 in florida. I was picked up by a couple who decided to move after I was with them for 2 mos. Unfortunately they were moving to a place that has breed specific legislation which means no pitbulls allowed. So the breeder called my mom and she came to pick me up. It was late in the evening. I came home and am loving to be a big lazy boy. I've already mastered, being housebroken. SIT, And Down. Tell me I'm not a smart boy. Mom has plans for me to get my CGC, which is the canine good citizen test. Which means I can be out in public as a good ambassador for my breed. Something which is important for all who own this wonderful breed of dog. So this is me and were going to show you how I grow up week by week and talk about some of the wonderful things pitbulls can do.
